A question about the hydraulic level system, we tried to order ours without the level system but was told it is now required. my concern is the trailer sitting for years with the rams extended in the weather. I plan on using the rams once when we arrive at our site to level, and then placing stands next to each ram and then retracting the rams. I plan on "exercising" the level system maybe once a month by lowering the rams then raising them again to keep the seals lubed and all. For anyone else who leaves their trailer parked in a permanent spot I am curios as to how you use your level system.

Well, so far we have just left them out. We find we have to level on occasion, just because where we have it parked, there are weather extremes, so we get some frost heave, etc. We do have a couple of those little yellow jack pads under each foot, so they aren't extended all the way. But yours actually sounds like a pretty good idea........

From what I read in the manuals, it is recommended that once a week you spray the exposed shafts with a clear silicone spray. You can purchase the spray at any auto parts store, I think I have even seen clear silicone in the Walmart automotive department!
