Installed a Victron Multiplus and 600ah of lithium batteries behind the basement wall. I chose the digital control panel mounted inside to control the Multiplus and the Bluetooth dongle for monitoring only as well as the 500a Smart Shunt to measure the state of charge/use. Installed a Progressive EMS while I was at it. That was hard work for an old fat guy, but there was a great sense of satisfaction when everything worked correctly and all the magic smoke stayed inside the wires. I would've gladly paid someone to do it but everyone I wanted to use is booked out for months, if not the rest of the year. I WILL ABSOLUTELY pay someone to install the solar panels & charge controllers!
It's a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 310GK, btw. 20210402_181804.jpg20210402_090944.jpg20210329_181903.jpg

Congrats, well done. Now at least you know it's done right.

Oh that is awesome. I am looking to upgrade my current setup as I have the Go Power 3000w 50a pass through inverter/charger. Problem is it only monitors amps on leg 1, so it is prone to pop the breaker on a 30a shore power. So I am looking to upgrade to the multiplus II 2 X120 inverter/charger.

Have some questions about your setup. Just want to run down what you have (as I read it)

1) multiplus inverter/charger
2) smart battery shunt
3) Bluetooth dongle
4) control panel (not sure which one)

Which control panel did you use? Did you also get the Ve bus adapter to program your inverter?

Very nicely done, and clean.

I’m jealous of all of you with large pass through storage! My 381 storage is so dang narrow

Sorry I didn't see this for so long,
Yes I did get the VE adapter for updates and such. It came pre set up when I bought it from Dragonfly. I need to do a firmware update on the Multiplus but I'm procrastinating it.
I went with the Digital Multi Control so I have functionality without a phone. I use the Victron Connect app just for monitoring.
The only thing I'm disappointed with is the BT range on the Smart Shunt, it really sucks. In hindsight the money saved over a 712 is gone when I add another BT dongle to the shunt, which fortunately you can do.
The system performs very well. I am finally on the schedule to have 1980 watts of solar and Victron mppt charge controllers in February '22. That should put my dry camping time to nearly infinite except for tankage limitations.

I’m not trying to hijavk this thread. I just want to tell you folks what I had installed 2 weeks ago at Solar Energy Systems in Nappanee Indiana. It seems similar to OP.
Multiplus II 2X inverter. This inverter is 3000 watts & passes through both legs of 50 amp shore power & provides automatic 3000 watts of power from inverter if no shore power. The 3000 watts goes to both legs of your ac panel but it’s only a total of 3000 watts.
Cerbo GX Monitoring system. GX 50 touch panel to display monitoring info. Inverter, Smart charger/controller, & Smart Shunt have control wires to the GX monitoring system. Smart Charger & Smart Shunt also have built in Bluetooth so no dongle needed. GX monitoring system also has Bluetooth if you want to monitor everything on your phone. Inverter does not have Bluetooth but you can monitor it as well as the other items through VictronConnect app on your phone. The app connects to GX monitoring & solar charger & Smart Shunt.

I also had 4 100 AH Relion lithium batteries installed & 8 200 watt solar panels installed. The cost of each component was as good as I could find anywhere. Labor was expensive but worth it. Total install time was 2 days. If anyone wants costs of components I will share. We tested system for 4 hours in afternoon sun at the install location. Ran 15K AC set at 76 degrees, residential refrigerator & tv. Battery state of charge was
40% at end of test. We are in Colorado now. Each day I stop about an hour before reaching RV Park, close bedroom door & turn on living room AC to 76 degrees & interior is cool when I attach shore power. I hope to do some boondocking in next few weeks. Hope this is helpful.

FYI Victron Multiplus II is 3000 VA (which corresponds to 2400w)
