Anyone using this plan?

I exploring this as an alternative to Verizon. I understand Visible is just the cheap version of Verizon.

If I start using Starlink then I plan to downgrade my phone plan and the associated data plan that goes with it.

I should have done that to begin with. Thanks for the link.

After looking, most posts are 2 to 3 years old. Overall folks seem to like it. Wondering if anyone has recently signed up (within last year with the new plans and data rates).

I'm seriously considering dropping Dish, switching to StarLink, and changing from Verizon to Visible.

Visible and Starlink are what we use. My only complaint with Visible was in Death Valley when there was a good Verizon signal but no service on Visible. I THINK that there are places where Verizon uses a joint tower or something that does not hook up Visible, but I do not know enough to even be dangerous!

Most MVNOs will limit upload and download speeds, as well as some that deprioritize you on very busy cell towers. Some also limit how much data can be shared via a hot spot connection. The bottom line is that if you are going to mostly just use it as a phone...vs....streaming or hotspot usage, it should be OK Here is a link you can check out, if you haven't already seen/read it....

Great site. Thanks.

I've had a VISIBLE account on a dedicated phone for the past 4 years. I only use it as a hotspot while camping to stream TV apps such as YouTubeTV, NetFlix, Prime, PlutoTV, etc. VISIBLE offers unlimited hotspot, and I used it for 3-weeks continuous while camping this past fall. As you know, it needs Verizon towers nearby but that has never seemed to be a problem where ever I have gone. I had reliable, uninterrupted service the entire time. It was on nearly 24-hours a day. If I wanted to use it for a more secure computer connection for banking, etc., I had to disconnect the signal from the TV therefore VISIBLE let me only connect one device at a time. I pay $35/month for their newer plan. I highly recommend it because it as always worked for me. But again, I suggest you get a dedicated phone for the VISIBLE hotspot streaming (it doesn't need to be an expensive one) and use a different service for your main phone needs. I use ATT for the later. There are no contracts with VISIBLE and you can easily cancel if it doesn't work for you.

I have been using visible daily since shortly after they started. it is awesome, 25 buck for unlimited talk and txt and 5g. Only once have I experienced depriotization.

we use the phone hotspot to stream movies and work.

2 thumbs up. far superior to the $300 a month plan from verizon

I have used Visible for over three years. No issues and less cost. Has work for stream TV

I have been using this plan for 3 plus years now and it works just fine. It has unlimited hotspot data but it is throttled back to 10mbs now it was 5mbs before an upgrade.

Great info from all. Since I would be using Starlink I wouldn't need to use the Visible plan for data; or at least not a lot of it. Right now I would be looking at the $45/mo plan (currently offered at $35/mo.). But I don't have to make a decision until travel starts again in April '25. So, a bit of time to make a decision.

Sorry I said limited data but it’s unlimited data both on phone and as a hotspot. I too have starlink, but having unlimited hotspot data does come in nice at times.

Word of caution. They do use same towers and service as Verizon, but they are lower priority. We had Verizon on 3 phones and I decided to move my phone to Visible. After 3 months, went back to Verizon, as there were "many" instances, with all 4 phones, including my work AT&T phone, sitting side-by-side, my personal phone with Visible had "no service", while the Verizon phones were 4-5 bars. In-fact, that kept happening in North Carolina, where I reside, and up and down the East coast so often, I switched back. They use same service, but Verizon is priority.

Just my personal experience.

I signed up a few weeks ago while on a 3 week camping trip. My old provider only had limited hot spot data and after a week I’d run out. With Visible I have unlimited hot spot data. I usually have a good signal (only used it on the east coast). I can stream YouTube videos with occasional buffering. Phone calls, email and web surfing are seamless. I wouldn’t recommend it for work or uploading videos, but for casual use it seems like a good deal. It does what I want and it’s 10 or 15 bucks cheaper than my old provider. It also gives me free calls to Canada and Mexico which means I don’t need WhatsApp.

Depends upon where you are. We found internet via hot spot to be terrible in Woodbridge, VA, but ok in Sun City AZ. Phone was ok in either place. Great value for unlimited streaming, though.
