Wait 10 min and a new option will appear.

I have to say I'm glad we jumped in when we did on the 2016 317rst it's the only 5th that we found that was just what we needed to modify the shower and toilet area for a wheelchair. Now this model is a dealer stock item. All 5ths are too narrow an opening for bedroom and toilet area doors for a wheelchair. We actually removed part of the wall on the toilet side and removed the door to toilet. Now we have a big enough area for the wheelchair to turn around in for the shower and toilet. That area has pocket doors on each end so you still have privacy. It has been a lot easier for my husband. I have to say I was disappointed that they stopped making this set up.

Your looking at Safety improvements. For get software firmware. Major Auto Manufactures do not release Mid Year Body style changes as a norm. Only one that is coming to mind is the 64' 1/2 Mustang and that was a product release mid year. You don't see Body styles changing mid year, Most are on a 3 year production run. Small changes from year to year over that production run but not changes every month. Every time I see a new imagine they have added something new or made a change. I still think they have not addressed the heat issue which should be on the top of the list.

We do what's called a face lift about midway through a product cycle. About 3 years at BMW. If we find a part problem or safety problem it will be corrected immediately. Cosmetic or function changes are done about every 3 or 3.5 years. I would think making design changes often would eat into profit margins.

The shower door. Don't know how much it cost.

" Good afternoon and thank you for contacting Grand Design. This door is part #350160 - SHOWER DOOR 64 X 36 ROUNDED RETRACTABLE OPAQUE SCREEN

I have attached a picture of the door. This can be ordered through your local Grand Design dealer as we are unable to sell direct, just to our dealer network and because of this I do not have access to pricing. It does look to be a special order part so it will take about two weeks for us to get it from our supplier and once in it will ship right out to your dealer.

Thank you again for contacting Grand Design & have a great weekend,

Thank you,

I agree with the West Family. It does bug you to see so many changes 2 months after purchasing. I think they went to market too quickly and now are making revisions. It would be great if they would give current owners a little price break on the shower door and or ladder. Just sayin.......

Totally agree with you Steven. I'm almost ready to buy an imagine and kind of wonder what the reasons were to make these changes. Did having a curtain cause to much water damage and they had to go with a door? Does a fiberglass cap give that much better protection on the front? (Silly questions to some I'm sure, but this will be my first trailer as I move from a pop up. If I had bought the imagine I saw at the RV show a few weeks ago, I would have been stuck with a poor product?

The shower curtain is a little cumbersome. No leaks but it's a bit too long and covers the drain. I plan on buying the door and am going to contact them. I think we should get a price break since our trailers are so new. As far as the end cap goes the new one is more modern looking. A lot of Keystones have a similar cap. I like the original one better. I don't see an advantage or disadvantage. My previous TT's did well without the cap.

Gstepp22,
Don't assume because a manufacturer makes changes that there was a problem with the old way. Take for instance the shower door, I don't know if your pop up had a shower in it but if you have ever taken a shower in a camper with the vinyl curtain it can be a real pain vs. an actual door. My guess on the front fiberglass cap is to possibly streamline the production line at the factory.

So I went to the dealer today to look at a new 2600rb or 2150rb. They only had the 2600rb on the lot though. I will tell you this, I am a little disappointed with the new shower door. Well u can't really call it a door. It is a retractable plastic sheeting. Lol. I am pretty sure this is a deal breaker for the wife. Just when I thought I found the right trailer for us. Back to the RV shows again ugh!

New shower closure 2800BH imagine

I actually don't mind the shower closure on our 2800BH. Is this what you saw at the dealer today?

MagsNJoe,
Yes that was exactly it. I was kind of OK with it but wife made a joke and said "that shower design is not grand at all" to the sales guy. Anyway, I was hoping that this new door design would be like other manufacturers put in. U know like a hard plastic. This plastic sheet door seems if you raise arms to shampoo your head your elbow will put a hole in it. I wish the door was solid. I would have bought the 2600Rb today. :(

Anyone think they sell an after market door that might fit? Dealer was not very helpful at all and just tried to sell us the older model with the shower curtain.

I would have to agree--It would def be an improvement to have the hard plastic sliding shower doors. However - I'm hoping this one holds up. It has a 5 yr guarantee and the company has been around 30+ years! ☺️
Hope you are able to find an aftermarket replacement if wife agrees to the 2600RB.

You have to remember the Imagine line is made lighter than the Reflection line. I doubt you will find a light travel trailer from any manufacturer with a true hard glass shower enclosure due to the weight.

I'd be concerned about mold if it was closed after use. Which means it needs to be left open and wiped down before closing.

I want one. But I'm struggling with the hole that will be left in the roof and walls when I remove the original for replacement. Is it bowed or at the top? I saw one at an RV show that was. Gives you a little more elbow room.

Sounds like no one has the real low-down on the new shower door. I read that the material on the new shower retractable door has an anti-mold and anti-bacterial coated surface. The mechanism also has a rubber seal that squeegees off the curtain as it is retracted. Sounds like they did their homework.
Just saw the door today and we like it.

Hopefully we will start hearing more about the new retractable shower curtain as more folks start using them. I know I will have some feedback once I have some use with it.

I did check out GD's site today and saw some interesting new features. Looks like a new 2" heat duct in bathroom.
Does it really say that all imagines will have a 15k AC mandatory option? Geez. These trailers change monthly. I have not even picked up my 2600 yet and it is already outdated which seems crazy to me.

I presently have a camper from SOB.(some other brand) It is a very big company and all of their lines have changes on a regular basis. It is just the way it is. I like it since from the time I ordered mine from the other company and it was delivered I got free awning lights, free extended grab handle by the door, and free ceiling vents for AC. Since then there have been a bunch more upgrades also. Because Rvs are built by hand and on more of an as needed basis they can do this and why not. Why would anyone vote for a "hold back" instead of a line that moves forward? That is an emotional response to a logical situation.
