Sorry if you are seeing edits and changes to this post. I don't see a way to delete and start over. My question now is...does anyone know if air compressor type fittings for the quick connect are the same as the quick connect fittings they use for the propane lines?

THey are the same STYLE but NOT the same fitting. Propane takes different male and female plugs to insure a good seal. In the attached link from AMAZON you will see what you would need. Note that the Female has an on/off lever.

You do not necessarily need all of those items. You for sure need at least the bottom 2 left ones.

Thanks for confirming. Googling I saw some said they were the same some said there are not. So it looks like I would probably need the 3/8" male/male flare fitting to connect to the propane splitter on the RV, then attach the 3/8" x 1/4" female quick connect with on/off lever. Then I would need to figure out the correct fitting for whatever hose I would connect from the quick connect to the grill. And in that case, I would not use the LP regulator that comes with the grill if I understand correctly.

The fitting you are looking for, if its for a Blackstone or similar grill would be this WADEO Low Pressure 1/4 inch RV Quick Connect Elbow Adapter . And no, do not use your regulator that comes with the grill. You are already regulating pressure with the camper regulator.

Thanks. I'm using a Coleman Roadtrip 225 so it's a typical connector for the regulator. I assume that is different than for a Blackstone. I'll look into that to figure out what fitting I might need.

Finally installed the quick connect onto the trailer today and tested it out with the 12' hose I ordered specific to my grill. All works well and it was a super easy install. Thanks again for the info!
