Washing curtains

Wife wants to know if anyone has try washing the curtains in their trailer. If so, did you machine wash them, what kind of soap, hot or cold water? The curtains are eight years old.

My DW recommends..... maybe a good cool-to-warm water hand wash with a lite delicate soap, rinse, and hang dry. Unless really soiled, would do it this way.

Agree with hand wash or if the stitching is still strong around the Velcro the gentle cycle of a washer would be ok too. Stick to as suggested using cool to warm water.

Thanks for your suggestions. Sue used the hand wash/ delicate cycle and cold water in Woolite detergent. Then air dried. The curtains survived being washed just fine.
