Water Overflow

I have a 2015 GD Reflection model 337RLS I am hooked up to city water the valve is in the correct position, I have a pressure gauge set at 50lbs and in working condition.

When I woke up this morning I noticed a huge water puddle of water. I looked underneath the unit and in the rear is a blue line pouring water out. I shut off the city water and after a minute or so the water stopped. I have a 2-year Shur-flow water pump with no leaks. I know the water pump doesn’t need to work while on city water. What do you think my issue is?

Is this an open ended hose or is the hose leaking? Could it be a low water drain? When you have the city water supply on do all of your faucets etc work? Could it be a line that has come loose and is hanging down?

Not an open ended hose, All Faucets work. No line hanging This is the I believe over fill tube.
When I filled the fresh water tank this one time and forgot to shut off it came through this blue hose.

In the meantime, you can use the water in the fresh water tank instead of city water. If there is just a little debris (sediment) trapped the valve preventing it from closing completely, that may flush the debris out of the check valve.

Two years ago I had my 2019 337RLS back to the factory for some body panel replacements. When it was there they performed a "complimentary" check of the water system and propane system for leaks. I had no idea they were doing these checks and didn't think much of it.
Picked up the RV, and headed back home before I found the same problem. For me it turned out that the O-ring in one of the 3-way valves became dislodged and allowed water to fill the fresh water tank while set in the "City Water" position. This can happen if too high of a water pressure is used and/or the valve is turned while the system is under pressure. I'm guessing they used too high of a pressure because I also found my toilet backflow valve on the back of the toilet was cracked and leaking. I got lucky with the valve because after I operated it a few times the O-ring must have reseated itself back into place and the tank never filled up again. Grand Design had already shipped me a complete new Nautilus Panel and reimbursed me for the toilet valve which I purchased and replaced myself.
*NOTE* Never turn any of the nautilus system valves while there is pressure on the lines, turn the spigot off, open a faucet (outside hose) and take the pressure off of the system before changing any valve positions.

I've had my fresh water tank fill and overflow a few times as a result of the check valve inside the water pump "get stuck partially open". My city water line and "outlet of the water pump" are "T"ed together. So city water is always putting pressure on the outlet of the water pump (against the check valve). Once in a while, my wife will accidently turn on the water pump when she's poking buttons, and I hear the pump come on so I'll shut it off. Not always, but sometime this will cause the internal check valve to get stuck open and then city water flows backward through the pump and into the fresh water tank until it overflows. I've replaced the check valve two or three times but it still occurs once in a while.

The best way to "fix it" is to turn off the city water and let the pressure drop. Then, turn on the pump and let it run a few seconds. Then turn off the pump and go back to city water. If I do this it seems to reset the check valve and all is normal. (Until the next time). My wife has gotten so she knows to turn off the pump when connected to city water, so now she sometimes turns the pump on and then off. Problem is, this may leave the check valve stuck open and I don't know it's stuck open until it starts overflowing. So...... you might check the water level in your fresh water tank from time to time. If it's filling up then you know the valve has gotten stuck and you need to reset it.

good luck
Dustin

I had a spare water pump so I replaced it, and then I shut off the city turn the pump on open all cold water faucets for a few minutes and then the hot water till all air was eliminated, and then turn on the city water and no over flows for 4 days now.
Thanks everyone on this site for pointing me out different areas to check out the issues.
Much Appreciated

We had this issue on a 295rl. It turned out to be a defective valve on the nautilus. Ours was new and I had never operated the valves under pressure which can cause the issue. You might try to relieve all pressure then work the valves on the nautilus back and forth then settle on city water and see if it’s still dumping to the fresh water tank. Worst case what we did was turn off city water and ran off the tank using the pump.

Absolutely ! Great Advice !
On the nautilus system the black valve is the tank or city. You can forget which position the black valve is in, like it's set for tank, and you apply city water pressure, or vice versa. (I'm guilty) Just relieve all the water pressure before changing the position of the valve, or any valve for that matter.
