I am picking up my new transcend one 161bh. Anyone have suggestions on wdh’s? Trailer has gross weight 5400 and tongue 525. I am towing with 2019 f150 v6 eco boost. Suggestions on any budget friendly ones? Thanks.

Look at the Camco Eaz-lift TR3 system.

They work pretty well for the price.

I use that WDH, and it does great.

1 unique ability of the hitch is that the sway control function is independent of the weight distribution function. The sway control can be adjusted separately.

I also like that spring bars do not hang down very low, and there is a dial to adjust the weight distribution…..not removable washers.

The downside is that it is made in China.

Here a good video comparing 11 different WDHs:

Until I watched that video, I didn’t know how bad my hitch was. Funny how someone can take a “lousy” hitch and make it work real well with the combination they tow. As they say, it’s all in the wrist.

That stated, it takes some time and effort to get any brand hitch you buy to function at its best. I have none of the terrible problems with mine that is referenced in that video.

Since it doesn’t show in my sig, it’s a Blue Ox Sway Pro.
