What a trip. Got home yesterday. 10,113 miles, 917 gallons of fuel, 38 states, and tons of fun over the last two months. My real only problem with our Solitude 369RL was when the pedal on the toilet broke off. Ended up buying a new toilet in Tuscaloosa, Al. Saw lots of historical sites in the east. Friends and family, some that I haven't seen in over 35 years. And of course the new friends we made at the GD rally... Fun fun fun
I now need a vacation, that I don't have to be driving all over the place, so next month we are heading to Yuma AZ. For four month of doing nothing. Lol

We did a similar trip last year. But we actually took a vacation in the middle of it. We parked the rig in Salt Lake, and flew to Maui for a week. It was our first summer after retiring, so we made the most of it.

.

Sounds great Jim. So glad you and Kerry had such a good time! We are in the middle of ours right now and other than my refueling mishap, all is going great too!

That is quite the trip! Even better that the pedal was your only real problem. So you joining us for the rally again next year?

Congratulations on your long, long journey. The colors on your USA map are truly impressive. Such travels require owners with a great deal of patience and ingenuity. You cannot move these big rigs around without paying close attention to your truck and trailer and every where you're going.

We're retired but tethered to a pair of young grandchildren and a single daughter that we cannot leave more than 2 weeks at a time.

Where did you stay in Tuscaloosa. Have a grandson who lives there and was looking for a place to stay. Don

Awesome trip! Glad it all went well. Can't wait to be able to do a BIG trip like that again. Thanks for the positive update, this is why we all buy these rigs, for great trips, sights, and fun. Sometimes it seems like we only hear about the faults and failures of our units. I know that is a huge, important part of the forum, to help fix each others problems, but I do enjoy these positive posts too.

Cool trip!! Love the positive posts!! Makes me excited to pick ours up in 2 days!
