I was wondering what everyone is pulling their Momentums with? If we get ours I will be using a 2006 Ram 3500 DRW Cummins power with a 6 speed manual 2wd. I would like to get a newer Duramax 4wd, but this is what I have at this time.

Might be tough pull for awhile with the 385......she is a big beast!

2009 Ram 3500 Q/C 4x4 DRW
6.7 ltr, G56 with Valair DD
Firestone bags
If your truck is well maintained and solid, I recommend you keep it.
New truck MPG is horrible (across all brands)

Long Island, my husband and I noticed you had air bags listed in your sig line, did you have the air bags installed for this TH or were you using them for a previous 5th? We ordered a 385TH and I believe we have a similar set up as you. We have a 2012 F350 Lariat FX4, DRW, long bed, CC, 6.7PSD with a Reese 20K hitch. The garage will be empty initially, if you don't mind, just curious as to why you needed air bags. Also, did you have to adjust your hitch for this TH in order for it to tow level? As mentioned, ours is on order so we have not hooked up as of yet, we currently have a 40ft 5th, not a TH and not as hitch heavy as this TH, that's why I'm asking about hitch adjustment for leveling.
Another question, we had some concerns about the brand of tires on this TH, we would have much rather had Goodyear tires. Did you have any concerns regarding the tires? I haven't researched Goodyear's tires needed for this TH yet.
If anyone else with a momentum 385TH would like to chime in, we would appreciate your responses. Thanks

Hi Form
We have 2007 F550 4 x 4 DRW with a 8ft pick up bed, it as air bags instead of springs which I think gives a better ride when towing a 5th wheel, plus we can dump the air from the bags to unhitch if needed.
Up to now towing the Raptor with a full load on the truck has done a good job for us, so hope it will with the new Momentum which we pick up on the 24th it will keep going as the new trucks have a big price on them.

I would say its the big hills or mountain pass that you need the better braking and load support from a truck that has a load of a big RV like the Momentum or Raptor on the back.

Have a good year with your new RV's
Tony

GRAWR is 6200lbs on the truck. The tires are load range E tires. Yes it is close to their rating but they are the same tires they put on the 3500HD which has a king pin weight limit of 4000lbs. So tires should be fine. If there was an issue then everyone should be pulling these with DRW and they are not. Many SRW 3500HD's are pulling these and many others with the heavy king pin weight around.

We have the 355 toy hauler 5th Momentum, we use a GMC 3500HD SRW 8 foot bed, diesel, 20K hitch rite, installed in the bed and removable to the point we can still use the full bed if needed.

Pulling 385 with 2012 F350 4x4, drw, 6.7 diesel, rear air bags for a 2 inch assist in keeping truck level.

Pulling a 350M with a 2013 Ford F250, 6.7 Diesel, SRW, CC, Short Bed, 4X4, 20" Wheels all sitting on Firestone Ride Rite Airbags controlled by Lift Master Wireless Controller and the Hellwig rear sway bar. 5th wheel is hooked to a B&W Companion 20K Hitch attached to the B&W Turnover ball hitch, connected to a 1621HD Lippert Pin Box.

Pulling a 385TH with a 2014 Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7 longbed 4x4. No modifications and the truck pulls like a champ.

We finally upgraded, I bought a 2011 Duramax, so nice with an automatic..

2015 Dodge Laramie with a Banks system. Have had 4 Toy Haulers and this truck has none of the smog stuff and performs very well. I refuse to get a new one. If this blows with rebuild and "KEEP ON TRUCKING"
