What size I-Beam frame?

Can anyone tell me the size of the I-Beam frame on a 303rls? I'm thinking about having a fabricated rear hitch receiver welded in to double tow a flatbed trailer with my sxs on it. Total weight about 2500 lbs.

Regards,
Joe N.

I just looked at a 303rls that was built in May 2018. It had a 8” tall I-Beam frame.

Correct - the 303 is 8" other larger model Reflections (337 and up) are 10". I posted the different sizes a couple years ago. I may need to update that and have placed in the Library area if appropriate.

Dan - This question comes up from time to time. If you can find your original summary (which I vaguely remember) and update if necessary, I think it would be a good addition to the Library.

Something to think about is that there is more to I beam strength than just the vertical dimension. The flange dimensions are equally important.

Here's an update Toes,

My 2017 307 MKS came with a 10" I-beam and it is the same overall size as the 303rls.
I had ordered the 303 and the 307 had just come online. I pretty much switched my order, based on the "as built" specs and I liked the different floorplan with a desk at the rear for my laptop & photo toys.
It also came with 6,000 # axles, which gave it 3,000 # leaf springs and 16 " wheels.
Even the EquaFlex is the heavier 6K to 8K model.
The slides are within 100 #s of each other bc the frig isn't on a slide, it's on the rear wall, so evenly weighted.
Has a pin weight of 1,595 #, GVWR of 12,995 and a UVW of 9,875 # which gives
it almost 3,000 lbs of NCC.
Now, I will never carry even half that weight, but it is nice knowing the trailer is over-built, rather than borderline, IMHO.
Frankly, I am surprised it was not more popular from an engineering standpoint.

Michael - thanks, for sharing this. I kinda forgot about this item as most folks these days do not seem as interested in these types of details as compared with other things. 10" frames seem to have the "beefier" items you shared. GDRV has also upped the game over earlier generations on some models to gain more spread between actual and rated loads on some components. When the GDRV Customer Service Center upgraded our 303 to 6K axles and 16" tires/wheels, they upgraded our Equaflex from the 6K to the 8K as well. :)
