We have been using the StarBrite Premium Restorer Wax on the Grand Design 311BHS. The problem is that it does not last more than 3 months. We applied the Restorer Wax in the fall before we put it up for the winter. Now the finish is all chalky and needs to be waxed again. Being older I really can't apply wax every couple of months. I've seen all of the adds on Facebook, but I'm hesitant to purchase something like that.

What do you use and how long does it last.

Thanks in advance.

I've been using Collinite No. 885 Fleetwax with pretty good success, especially on the nose cap. Matter of fact I'll be doing this job today and/or tomorrow...going to try using a random orbital polisher to apply it this go around...see if that makes it easier/faster.

If you have to wax every few months, why not the spray wax? Easy on and off.

The new ceramic waxes have one heck of a sales pitch [and price] but has anyone stepped up and tried them? Maybe on the hard to reach places would make it cost and time effective.

I used the Mequiar's Ultimate Quik Wax on my previous Newmar motorhome and it worked great. It was easy on and easy off. I will be using it soon on the front cap of my Reflection.

I have waxed my Reflection with NU-Finish. Easy on Easy off and seams to last. I also wash down my RV with Mequiar's Ultimate wash and wax in my soap cannon. This is the easiest way, since I'm going to wash anyway.

I have been using the spray ceramic wax. You spray on while still wet and wipe dry. It is super easy to apply and supposed to provide UV protection. I find that it is not as "slick" feeling as a good wax job, but so far I haven't had problems getting bugs off. I've returned to using wax on the truck but sticking with the spray ceramic on the RV just because it's so easy to apply that I'll actually do it each time versus procrastinating with the regular wax. The spray wax (non-ceramic) might also be a good option but seems a bit more prone to hot surface/sun than the ceramic. No expert on the subject though.

Works well and seems to last a long time even in Myrtle Beach.

I used Meguiars Marine/RV One Step Compound to remove some light oxidization on one side of the RV using an orbital polisher. Then waxed with some Nu Finish. Normally I use the Wash Wax All that Rob mentioned.

I have used Protectant 303 for years this will be the 3rd RV. I refer to is as Magic Sauce and it is fantastic for all plastics (especially black) on exterior and interior of vehicles. Great for many surfaces , leather, plastics, fibreglass etc.
