Where Are You Going in 2025?

We have to be in Falls Church, VA mid July for my niece’s wedding. Any suggestions on RV parks in area? From what I’ve looked at, not a lot of choices.

Depending on weather and family commitments, we hope to leave NB Canada and go the Outer Bank of NC in early March. I realize it will not be hot but it will be fine for us and cheaper in early March than later in the year. Then maybe the smoky Mountains area for a while. Nearing retirement and practicing with 4 to 8 week trips away from family. I am able to work from the trailer so we would rather be away from the snow in the Spring if possible.

We have Newfoundland on our radar again this year, yet decided if we will go for 4th year in a row or something like that :).

Local trips in Atlantic Canada for sure.

We will on a 9 week trip through New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia, returning through the Gaspe and Quebec's lower north shore.
That will be an awesome trip. We spent the summer up there, always love visiting Canada. PEI bridge toll is a little expensive, I think it was $50 ish US.

Pretty nice trip. We spent 57 days in the Maritime Provinces some years back. We need to get back there. I love watching the tides and tidal bores.

Let me know if you need any help with information.

Thanks!

We have most of our campsites booked. Just a couple of Harvest Hosts and Provincial Parks left to book for the return back to Alberta. We will be direct from Calgary to St Andrew's, then up the Fundy coast, across to PEI, Cape Breton, mainland Nova Scotia, Shediac, Restigouche Sud-Est, Riviere-Morris and Point Lebel. From there it will be back home.

Any recommendations for whale watching? We looked into tours out of St Andrew's and Digby, but we are there before the season begins. Thing of Cape Breton or Quebec's LNS.

Looking forward to Lobster Rolls and Digby Scallops!

Lookin forward to driving across the bridge. Bridge toll is $54 CAD plus 8.50 per trailer axle, payable when leaving PEI. We will be taking the ferry to Nova Scotia. Around $140 for that crossing.

My wife is not comfortable in a boat so not much help for whale watching other than I have heard it's good in St Andrews but it's still a crap shoot :).

Be sure to make to Meat Cove on the Cabot Trail.

In PEI, The Preserves is a great restaurant in New Glasgow. The Anne of Green Gables play in Charlottetown is always good. Try Panmure Island Beach for a nice sandy and relatively quiet beach with often better wind conditions. For Thai, try Sue's Food truck. Also a nice farmer's market on Saturdays'

In NS, Advocate Harbour to Five Islands is a great place to hang out.

NB also has many things to see and do depending what you like.

Have a great trip and feel free to reach out anytime.

don't miss Ken's French Fry truck typically at Canadian Tire in Charlottetown. Ge large, because you can never have to may PEI home cut fries.

LMAO , already been there! I had a "load" in my much oversized fanny pack plus piled about 8 inches on top. All held in place by my arm and hand. A few steps later I am down on my knees and can't get up out of the sand without dropping the rock pile....did I, NO WAY I kept telling Gary I need help..the standoff began. Being the stubborn woman I am we left with all my collected rocks :peace:
I've given my wife the 'if you can carry and load it, you can have it' speech. But still we come home with many rocks in the back of the truck, lol

We let Banff early one year because of smoke from the fires. Beside it being pretty smelly you couldn't see much because of the heavy smoke haze.

We were thinking of going to Jasper this year but since the fires we didn't think it would be worth it.
Unfortunately our 2025 travel plans for winter and summer do not include trips to the USA now.....

Oh that will be fun! You’ll be coming through my town before too long. I’m in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. We aren’t going that far this summer. Just a trip to the Black Hills in the summer.

We've been full-time since July 1st, 2022 but this is our first trip "out west" (at least west of San Antonio). We wintered in Brownsville which was interesting and different. Now we are working our way north and west. Just finished two weeks down at Big Bend and so glad we visited this area in February instead of spring/summer time.

Our route below takes us through the end of 2025. Most of it is booked already but there are some places that are up in the air in case we make it into a rally or two.
