Just purchased and it's not clear where to put the trash can in this RV? The kitchen is small, drawers only, no doors under the sink. The pantry seems like the best choice as the lowest slide shelf is probably 3' off the ground so there is room here, but is it strange or gross to put the trash right together will all the food in the pantry? I guess we could hang a bag from the countertop with clips but the counter is pretty small with extenders on both sides. One extender side is also the bedroom access, and the other side being the main entry door's path.

Is it as simple as keep a small bucket in the bathroom for that trash and everything else has to go outside or am I overthinking this and it should just go under the pantry shelves out of view until needed? Thanks for any input.

You might be over-thinking this. The food you keep in the pantry isn't open I wouldn't think. And if you are conscientious enough to think about it in the first place, you likely aren't leaving the trash there until it starts to fester, so I say you're good to go. I would redirect all that mental noise toward making sure the roof sealant isn't neglected and the myriad other concerns one needs to have when it comes to RVing. Congrats on the new RV! :)

We have no dedicated "spot" for a trash can in our Reflection either.

We use a free standing, tip lid can. The kind with the foot pedal to open the lid.

Mental noise is a very polite way to phrase it! Lol. I like that a lot. Thanks for the guidance. And yes, I also worry about roof sealants too! As a Noob, my fear is making preventable errors due to overlooking basic items. Best regards.

In that TT I'd put the trash can under the flip up counter.

Not against this, but the door side counter blocks 70% of the access to the entry door and the bedroom side blocks a portion of the sliding door opening. I think these large extensions will need to be lifted up/down as needed, and can't just stay up. Not sure yet though. Will know soon.

I believe we will buy something similar. One that can hold a 13 gal kitchen trash bag with the step on lid. Most likely will live in the spot below the pantry lowest shelf. Do you seat belt or strap yours at all during travel, or are they pretty sturdy about sliding and falling over?

Haha! Nice to hear someone understands and I'm not the only one with noise reverberating inside my cranium. ;)

Ours travels pretty well in the bathroom, in the corner behind the toilet.

We just move it down to the kitchen when set up and ready.

We put ours in front of the motion sensor on the wall near the bathroom. That way it blocks the sensor from triggering. Those damn motion sensors are annoying especially when the dogs trigger them all night! Ugh! Otherwise, we store it in the pantry.
