While preparing to go dry camping water overflowed out the blue low point drain?

Everything seems to be fine... water comes out of sink via pump and water no longer comes out the low point drain.

My question is what happened? I have had several fifth wheels but not one with these type controls...

I am sure it is an easy explanation... just want to know

Thanks

Grant

That is likely the vent/overflow drain and not the low point drain. You may have overfilled the fresh water tank. Once it starts the siphon process, it can drain a fair amount, especially when traveling. It is often located close the the white fresh water tank drain.

The low point drains are usually located next to each other, one red and one blue, and have screw-on caps. Could be more than one set of low point drains depending on your rig.

As Fsalmy said, it's probably overflow from your fresh water tank. On some units (our 2020 Solitude, for example), the low-point drains have valves rather than caps. The overflow tube for the fresh tank has neither. I stop the flow after filling by running the water pump for a while using the outside shower. I turn it off as soon as the outflow from the overflow tube stops.

Now for the signature... you can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)
