Just wondering how many take a golf cart with them? We are thinking of getting one and taking it with us camping but are looking for ideas on how to load it in the bed of the truck? Tailgate on or off what’s your setup? I have a 2019 ram 2500 crew with the short bed. Thanks!

Putting it in the truck will eat up a bunch of payload! You might want to run the numbers before you put any effort into getting it in there.

In addition to the payload issues, a lot of campgrounds don't allow them - check with the campgrounds you plan to use.

Yes I have run the numbers and I will be fine I have over 3000lbs of payload. But yes before I take it I will make sure it is allowed at the campground, but most of the places we stay do allow them. I’m just not sure about state parks if there allowed or not?

Can’t imagine a golf cart fitting in a short bed

Always hauled ours to go golfing with our Chevy and an 8 foot box

I don’t even think the rear wheels would be still in the bed of your truck but definitely the body would be hanging out the back

You could always get a Cricket Golf Cart it fits in the back of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I have seen one in the back of Colorado with the tailgate up.
