My Grand Design experience so far has been something the RV Industry should hope to achieve some day, but I doubt they ever will. After much research and trips to the Hershey and Florida Super show, we decided to purchase a 2014 355TH GD. We have been RVing for 20 years and have purchased 5 campers during this time frame. Our last 5th wheel was a KZ 39 ft. Toy Hauler. KZ was privately owned back in 2006 (like GD) and not a Thor or Forest River product.
I am a experienced RV and boat owner and a ABYC certified marine technician. The frame, wiring, and plumbing are what sold me on GD. They are by far the best available in the under 300K market.
Marc Hauser, JD Adams and one gentleman (no name) helped me with a recall and were very helpful in delivering the parts in a timely manner. They were always available and answered phone calls and emails promptly. These GD employees truly cared about my problem and really wanted to help. My customer service experience with GD should set an example for the RV industry!
I hope this helps someone.
