Window Shades Bang on Metal Window Frame

We have a 2021 Imagine 2500rl and the window shade pull bar bangs against the metal frame of the window when up and when partially pulled. It drives me batty. We have tried all weather stripping in a few spots along the pull bar of the shade, but they fall off. We have tried the weather stripping along the frame of the window, it falls off. We tried to hold them up with silicone, it doesn’t stick. Anyone have the same problem and found a solution? Thanks!

Get yourself some split-loom wiring conduit of the appropriate diameter and clip it around the shade bar.

We put some sticky backed velcro (the fluffy side) on the bar of a few of our shades at the contact points in the last RV (a motorhome) - you hear EVERYTHING that rattles in that!

We put some sticky backed velcro (the fluffy side) on the bar of a few of our shades at the contact points in the last RV (a motorhome) - you hear EVERYTHING that rattles in that!

X2 on the sticky backed Velcro at the contact points. Cut down on the noise. We used the heavy duty type.

We similarly used the sticky back felt pads, 3/8" round, and stuck them to the backside of the shade bar. Works very well.

It doesn't bother us. The shades are much better than we have had in any of our RV's.

We went to a RV show in southern IL last weekend and walked through several campers, we mentioned how annoying the clanking sound was with every step through the GD units. We did notice they were just sitting on the axles and front jack, so figured that was adding to the movement.

I use the small motorcycle mic socks. Put 1 on each end and 1 on the pull knob.
