Thinking about installing the Winegard Gateway Router. Our Solitude is setup for it. Does anyone have any experience with this WIFI router? Good, bad or indifferent?

Thanks for the link. Lots of info there.

I like ours and know a lot of people don't. I use an AT&T SIM card that works well (even on Thursday since it is WiFi and not cellular). I like the fact that it is 12V so the internet is on even if we lose shore power. I monitor the temperature using a Govee WiFi thermometer so that will work even if we lose power which is great in the summer if the dogs are left inside.

We are full-timing about 8 months per year. Overall, we like it. It allows us to connect to a park’s WiFi with a better signal strength than directly from inside our motorhome. It firewalls our individual devices from other park Wifi users. Lastly, we only have to configure our TVs, phones, PCs, etc once.

Using a Verizon SIM card, we were able to stream videos (when in an area serviced by Verizon). Unfortunately, even with their biggest data-plan we would consume our allotted bandwidth about 2.5 weeks into a month before throttling made it impossible to watch anything. But it was fine for emailing and at least we had something when boon docking.

We’re now using T-mobiles home internet gateway. While within their 5g network, we are unable to detect any throttling. At $50/mo, it’s way cheaper than going the SIM card route and it is also our internet source when at home. Verizon also offers one, but I have no experience with it.

Thanks for the feedback. I wouldn't use it for much more than watching tv or using the internet.

I installed the Winegard Osprey router with the Winegard 360+ in my 337RLS. It has 2G and 5G bands where the GW-100 is 2G only I believe.
