Winegard on new Solitudes?

I saw a video online that stated Winegard is included on all new Solitudes. I have a Solitude on order. Should I expect it will have Winegard? If so, how easy will it be to add the Gateway and configure it with an existing Verizon service? Will the base for the Gateway be pre-installed in the ceiling like a video I saw online? Thanks.

We found the winegard gateway was garbage. Our 2023 came pre wired, just had to buy the gateway and data sim card. Had lots of troubles with it staying connected and/or recognizing devices and just a clumsy interface for setup and changes. Our mobile hotspots and work provided Starlink are way more reliable.

That is sad to hear. It looked so promising. Is that the V2 that you have? Being a 2023 it probably is. Thanks.

Have a 2021 which came with just the standard Wineguard. Last year I upgraded to the 360+ with the gateway and an AT&T sim card. Works great. I'd have your dealer install the gateway when the rig arrives. You could purchase the gateway and install the sim yourself, then give them the gateway to install. The interface is clumsy but once it recognizes the sim card, don't need to use it again unless you want to switch to the campground WiFi. If the dealer installs it, you can make sure it works and the TV works as part of your walkthrough.

One thing that is kinda cool is that since the Wineguard gateway is 12V, it works while you're driving. Daughter and grandkids watched movies on the laptop connected to the Wineguard while riding in the truck. I know you could use the phone as a hotspot, but don't have to and likely get better reception with the Wineguard.

The router will reach from the trailer to the truck? What trailer do you have? Just trying to figure the distance. Our on order 5th wheel is almost 44 feet long.

380FL. Router reaches all the way into the house when the RV is parked in the driveway!

Our 2022 Solitude came pre-wired and I added the 360. Results were mixed at best. Lots of reboots and frustration trying to reconnect. It has been unplugged for several months and my blood pressure is back to normal.
To be fair, I was connecting it to hotspots, so maybe I should get a sim card and try again, but am thinking more about going with Starlink to (hopefully) avoid the aggravation.

We’ve had 360+ & Gateway 1000 for 2&1/2 years & are pretty happy. The signal carries outside quite a distance & it’s capable of streaming HD television. As we travel we have found much better cell service lately with the exception of western Canada (Alaska Highway). There plan on no service for a couple of days plus no Sirius XM north of Watson Lake.
