This might be a good question for GD to answer. They stash so many wires in odd places, can you see if they're attached to the TV or stereo.

I think the picture is their not sure how to post a picture

It says on it that it’s a ‘digital to analog audio converter’, probably used to connect an iPod or something similar to the tv/stereo. Did you buy the trailer new or used? If the later I would suspect the previous owner installed it, if not contact GD maybe they can shed some light on the subject.

It should be connected to the audio out on the TV and connected to the sound system. It should already be connected. Make sure you have the right input set on the sound system. I don't remember if there is a setting for output on the TV or not. But that is what it is for so you can listen to the audio thru the sound system instead of the TV speakers.

Are there supposed to be internal speakers besides what's in the TCL? Only thing I have is external (useless) speakers and the TV speakers.

My 2024 Solitude has an entertainment system (if you want to call it that) in a cabinet above the TV. It connects to the TV with the converter the OP is asking about. My speakers from the entertainment system are in the upper cabinets both sides of the TV.

There certainly are in my Reflection. Check here to see how I upgraded mine.

Just looked at an interior picture and there are two over the sofa - I don't think they have ever worked - at least I've never heard any sound come out of them.
mwdilday, Yep, relying on a picture of the TV when we purchased - two above it mostly behind the TV. Same thing, don't think I've ever heard any sound come out of them with TV on.

Have you looked in all of the cabinets the speakers are mounted in? There may be a head unit in one of them. That is how my RV is.

There's a Rockford Fosgate PMX-1 in the right cabinet and something boxed in with 'wood' in the left cabinet - probably where the head unit is. Just never played around with it so I've probably not got things set up correctly. Only been two years and only used the TV.

Seems every trailer is different. Ours has a small radio/dvd player in the center cabinet above the television. It has all of the audio processing built in, but the television also plays through the speakers. When we watch a dvd we have to mute either the television or the audio on the unit, otherwise both are playing, but a half second apart. Also, we can select either or both of two sets of speakers. One is inside and one is outside, but they aren't labeled that way, just A and B. We don't ever use the outdoor speakers.

The RF PMX-1 is the head unit. Those wires behind the tv are an optical audio out for the tv sound and it converts to rca cables that run into the head unit. From there both inside and outside speakers are connected.
Turning on the headunit or to me it's easier to download the app and use it. In the head unit you have speaker setting for inside, outside and master. If I want tv sound to also play on the inside speakers I slide the inside sound to max and use the master to control the volume I also use the outside speakers when I am streaming music on youtube on the tv so the music is played outside. Pretty handy to be honest. The inside speakers help when the living room ac is running in ours and we are watching tv.
